Personal rejuvenation

★ Personal rejuvenation, plus Phoebe the land shark ★

For the past 18 months, The Nugget has arrived in your inbox every Friday.

It’s survived overseas trips and job changes and life’s general, persistent chaos.

Last week, I took a break. This week, after a lightening trip to the NT and the top-end of WA, I decided not to go to unnatural lengths fit in an interview.

It’s got me thinking about whether The Nugget might be better as a fortnightly email. This would make room for personal rejuvenation and the kind of conversations that make it work writing in the first place. More on that when I work it out. x

❀ Love to Martin ❀

I had the pleasure of being radio-slot neighbours with Martin John Lee for about a year. Until recently, The Nugget radio show followed Martin’s Still Life with Pansy on MainFM.

I am no art expert, nor am I someone who thought I would love a radio show about art. That’s how good Martin is!

He pulled me in with his thoughtful, researched commentary. He creates worlds with his storytelling and interviews, bringing us closer to artists. I am better for having listened.

So I was gutted to read Martin’s post below.

If you've never tuned in to Still Life with Pansy, do yourself a favour and give it a listen. If you're already a fan, now is good time to let Martin know how much his work is valued.
